Quinta Lagoalva de Cima Grande Escolha Syrah - Red Wine

Quinta Lagoalva de Cima Grande Escolha Syrah - Red Wine is a single-varietal Syrah from the Tejo region, produced by Quinta da Lagoalva. It is a red wine with a distinct profile, made from carefully selected grapes, with the Syrah grape variety revealing its full expression, aromatic intensity, and gastronomic character.

According to the available information, the grapes are harvested manually from small plots and vinified in open stainless steel vats at 24ºC. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in new or one-year-old French oak barrels, followed by 14 months of aging. This winery work contributes to a harmonious, structured and well-developed whole.

In terms of sensory profile, it stands out for its garnet color and intense aroma, marked by notes of spices, ripe black fruit, and tobacco. On the palate, it is deep and persistent, with elegant tannins, offering an enveloping and balanced tasting experience. At the table, it pairs very well with oven-baked dishes, game, and aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it between 16ºC and 18ºC.
