Description | Meandro - Red Wine
Meandro - Red Wine, from Quinta do Vale Meão, is a wine from the Porto and Douro region made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet and Baga. The winemaking process is meticulous, with the grape varieties treated separately. The grapes are crushed, cooled and foot-trodden for about four hours, then transferred to small refrigerated stainless steel vats. Aging takes place for 14 months in second and third-year French Allier oak barrels.
In the glass, it presents a vibrant color and an aromatic profile marked by floral notes and aromas of red fruits. On the palate, it reveals intense fruit, freshness and complexity, with a balanced whole and a long finish. It is a Douro red wine that clearly expresses the care taken in the winery and the identity of its origin, combining structure, elegance and character in a very gastronomic and versatile style at the table.
