Description | Malleolus - Red Wine
Malleolus - Red Wine, from Emilio Moro, is one of the noblest expressions of the Tempranillo grape variety in Ribera del Duero. Made from a selection of grapes from old vines aged between 25 and 75 years, from the Camino Viejo estate, located at an altitude of 900 meters, this wine represents an important milestone in the winery's history. The name "Malleolus" derives from Latin and means "majuelo," a term traditionally used to designate the vineyards of Pesquera de Duero.
In the glass, it presents a deep, speckled cherry-red color. The aroma is intense, ripe, and full of personality, revealing the character of Tempranillo and the complexity conferred by months of aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with a very successful balance between freshness and maturity, ending in a long and persistent finish.
Served between 17 and 18 ºC, it pairs very well with roast suckling pig, entrecôte, and game dishes. Internationally distinguished with numerous gold medals and a place on Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 Wines list, Malleolus - Red Wine confirms the prestige of Emilio Moro and Ribera del Duero.
