Description | Krug Grande Cuvée Magnum - Sparkling Wine
Krug Grande Cuvée Magnum - Sparkling Wine is a Champagne of great complexity and expression, created by the KRUG house from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir grapes. This cuvée is distinguished by resulting from an exceptional blend of over 120 wines from 10 different years, originating from selected plots, seeking remarkable aromatic depth and fullness. In the 172nd Edition, 146 wines from 11 different years were brought together, with 42% reserve wines in the final blend, in an assemblage composed of 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, and 20% Meunier.
In the glass, it presents an intense and fine golden color, with lively and elegant bubbles. The aromatic profile reveals notes of flowers, ripe fruit, dried fruit, marzipan, gingerbread, and citrus. On the palate, toasted hints and flavors of almond paste, quince, lemon, limoncello, and dried fruit emerge, creating a rich, sophisticated, and persistent whole.
It should be served between 9 and 12 ºC. It is a versatile choice at the table, accompanying everything from aged Parmesan and turbot with truffle to prosciutto, oysters, and dishes inspired by Indian or Moroccan cuisine. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with desserts such as Tarte Tatin and cheesecake.
