Description | Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut - Sparkling Wine
Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut - Sparkling Wine is an emblematic champagne from the Joseph Perrier house, linked to this cuvée since 1825 and named in honor of Queen Victoria and King Edward VII. Produced in the Champagne region from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, it results from a balanced blend of 35% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier. The grapes come from vineyards located in Cumières, Damery, Hautvillers, and Verneuil, in the Épernay district. The winemaking process also includes 20% reserve wines, followed by 3 years of aging in the cellar, which contributes to its harmony and finesse.
It presents a pale golden-yellow color with coppery reflections. The aroma is refined and elegant, with notes of apple, pear, and white peach, evolving into more exotic hints of pineapple. On the palate, the attack is lively and supple, combining complexity and lightness, freshness and volume. Notes of white flowers give way to fruity hints of peach and a subtly spicy, very pleasant finish. It should be served between 6°C and 8°C. It is an excellent choice as an aperitif, but also pairs well with a meal, especially with smoked or marinated salmon and cheeses such as Parmesan.
