Description | José Pariente Finca Las Comas - White Wine
José Pariente Finca Las Comas - White Wine is a single-vineyard wine from Bodegas José Pariente, originating from the Las Comas vineyard in the Rueda region. Made exclusively from the Verdejo grape variety, it comes from a vine planted in a pot in 1910, in calcareous and stony soil, an origin that distinctively marks the profile of this wine and its very own interpretation of Verdejo from Rueda.
It presents a clean and bright golden-yellow color. The aroma reveals great intensity, with notes of undergrowth, fennel, and subtle citrus hints. On the palate, it is ample, intense, rich, and unctuous, with exceptional elegance. The whole demonstrates a delicate balance, great volume, good acidity, and unusual salinity, finishing with an open finish and a pleasant anise touch.
Fermentation and 12 months of aging in oak foudres contribute to its complexity, elegance, and captivating character. This is a wine that is only released in exceptional years. It is recommended to serve it at 10°C. It pairs very well with smoked meats, fish dishes, seafood, rice dishes, semi-cured cheeses, and cured meats.
