Description | Godeval 1986 Fermentado en Barrica - White Wine
Godeval 1986 Fermented in Barrel - White Wine is a white wine from Bodegas Godeval, in the Valdeorras region, made exclusively from the Godello grape variety. It originates from a rigorous selection of grapes from vines over 30 years old, in a very limited production of approximately 900 bottles. It ferments in new French oak barrels and then ages for 4 months on the lees in the same barrel, resulting in a distinct interpretation of Godello, also intended for further aging in the bottle.
In the glass, it presents a crystalline and brilliant appearance, with a vibrant yellow-green color. The aroma reveals good intensity, with notes of exotic apple, yellow summer fruit and stone fruit, pink grapefruit, and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is vibrant and fresh, with the Godello character clearly marked. The finish is broad, flavorful, and glyceric, with a balsamic aftertaste, good structure, and an elegant bitterness that prolongs the tasting experience.
It should be served between 10 and 12 ºC. It is a versatile wine at the table, capable of accompanying both simple and more elaborate dishes, including seafood, fish, red meat, roasts and creamy cheeses.
