Description | FSF - Red Wine
FSF - Red Wine is a wine from the Setúbal Peninsula produced by José Maria da Fonseca, created as a tribute to Fernando Soares Franco. It results from a blend of Syrah, Trincadeira and Tannat grapes, bringing together three distinct profiles in a whole of great character and expression.
It has a deep red color and a fruity aroma, with notes of blueberry, violet, chocolate, spices, and oak. On the palate, it reveals powerful and firm tannins, well integrated, providing structure, balance, and a long finish. It is an intense and distinctive red wine, designed for those who appreciate wines with presence and depth.
The winemaking process includes foot treading in open lagares (traditional stone troughs) and fermentation with skin contact for 6 days at 28°C. Aging takes place for 8 months in new French oak barrels, contributing to the aromatic complexity and captivating profile of the wine. Decanting before serving is recommended. It can be served at 14°C and enjoyed at 16°C, pairing particularly well with game dishes and cheeses.
