Estrecho - Red Wine

Estrecho - Red Wine, from Bodegas Enrique Mendoza, is a red wine from Alicante made exclusively from the Monastrell grape variety. Born in the "Estrecho de Pipa" area, in Villena, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters, this wine pays homage to the Alicante territory and authentically expresses the character of the region. Production follows organic viticulture, without systemic herbicides or pesticides, reinforcing the connection between vineyard, landscape and identity.

In the glass, it presents a ruby-red color with some garnet reflections, clean, bright and vibrant. The aroma reveals plenty of ripe fruit, accompanied by elegant balsamic notes, hints of undergrowth, damp earth, pine, rosemary, fig bread and a delicate smoky touch. On the palate, the entry is fine, with sweet and grainy tannins, showing freshness, balanced acidity and a very long and unctuous finish. The 16 months of aging in French oak barrels contributes to its elegance and depth, without losing the expression of Monastrell.

Prepared to be enjoyed now and for years to come, this is a versatile red wine for the table. It is recommended to serve it at 16ºC, especially pairing it with roasted meats, red meats, game dishes, lamb, appetizers, and rice dishes.
