Contino - White Wine

Contino - White Wine is a white wine from Rioja made primarily from Viura, with a contribution of Garnacha Blanca. The winery opted to avoid malolactic fermentation, thus preserving the wine's freshness and natural acidity. Aging for 6 to 7 months in oak and acacia barrels helps define an elegant and precise profile, without losing its vivacity.

In the glass, it presents a yellow color with a slight golden rim, a clear and bright appearance, and a fine, dense tear. The aroma highlights subtle notes of yellow fruit, citrus hints, and toasted dried fruit, along with delicate nuances of white fruit and floral suggestions. On the palate, it reveals good structure, a fleshy texture, and silky tannins, balanced by a very well-integrated acidity. The finish is long, fruity, and persistent, leaving a sensation of freshness and harmony.

It should be served between 9 and 12 ºC. At the table, it pairs particularly well with smoked fish, such as salmon or cod, as well as cured cheeses. A Rioja white wine with a distinctive profile, combining aromatic subtlety, a silky texture, and excellent definition.
