Description | Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc - White Wine
Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc - White Wine is one of New Zealand's most emblematic white wines, produced by Cloudy Bay in the Marlborough region from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes come from vineyards located in the sub-regions of Rapaura, Fairhall, Renwick and Brancott, in the Wairau Valley, an origin that helps define the expressive and very characteristic profile of this wine. Fermentation takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks, with 4% of the batch aged in oak barrels.
In the glass, it presents a straw color with pale green reflections. The aroma is fresh, concentrated and vibrant, with notes of ripe grapefruit, lime and passion fruit. On the palate, spicy hints of lime, lemongrass and stone fruit emerge, supported by a subtle minerality that prolongs the whole. The finish is long and memorable, confirming the intense and elegant style that has made this wine a benchmark among the great white wines of the New World.
It should be served between 8 and 10 ºC to best appreciate its freshness and aromatic definition. It is an excellent choice to accompany fresh fish, smoked salmon, shellfish and soft cheeses.
