Cloudy Bay Chardonnay - White Wine

Cloudy Bay Chardonnay - White Wine is a Chardonnay from Marlborough, New Zealand, produced by Cloudy Bay, a benchmark of the region since 1986. This wine is made from grapes from four vineyards located in the sub-regions of Brancott, Fairhall, Ben Morven and Central Wairau Valley, expressing the distinct character of Marlborough through an elegant, textured and very balanced profile.

In the glass, it presents a yellow color with bright golden nuances. The aroma is fresh and seductive, with notes of candied citrus, stone fruit and orchard flowers, accompanied by subtle spicy hints. On the palate it reveals itself as round and enveloping, with soft citrus and white peach notes, integrated into layers of pastry cream and hazelnut. The well-present acidity provides freshness and balance, while the discreet influence of wood adds complexity.

The must was decanted and fermented in French oak barrels, 15% of which were new, followed by 11 months of aging in barrels before the final blend. The result is an intriguing white wine, with good texture and a refined expression of the Chardonnay grape. It should be served between 7 and 10 ºC. It pairs very well with seafood and fish, but its structure also allows for excellent combinations with chicken, turkey and rabbit.
