Description | Castello d'Alba Reserve - White Wine
Castello d'Alba Reserva - White Wine is a wine from the Porto and Douro region made from the Gouveio, Rabigato and Viosinho grape varieties. This white blend reveals the Douro identity through a combination of traditional grape varieties, known for their freshness, aromatic expression and balance. The result is a wine that seeks to combine elegance, character and authenticity, reflecting the origin of the grapes and the wine profile of the region.
According to available information, winemaking is carried out with great care, beginning with manual harvesting in small perforated 15 kg boxes. The grapes undergo gentle crushing and pressing in an inert atmosphere to preserve their aromatic potential. Fermentation takes place cold, in a reducing environment, with temperature control at around 16°C. Part of the wine ferments in used French oak and remains there on fine lees, with regular batonnage, and is subsequently blended with the portion vinified in stainless steel tanks. This method contributes to a balanced profile of freshness, texture, and complexity.
