Bestizo Mencía - Red Wine

Bestizo Mencía - Red Wine is a young red wine from Emilio Moro that marks a new stage in the Moro family's journey. After more than 100 years dedicated to producing red wines with the Tempranillo grape variety in Ribera del Duero, the winery launched a new project focused on Mencía in 2024. The result is a wine that seeks to build bridges and reflect the evolution of this path, now linked to northwestern Spain. Originating from the Valdeorras region and made from the Mencía grape variety, it presents a fresh, accessible profile full of character.

In the glass, it reveals a cherry-red color. The aroma is fresh and elegant, with a clear predominance of red fruit and stone fruit, where notes of cherry and peach stand out, accompanied by delicate spicy and floral hints. On the palate, it is light and balanced, with a smooth, pleasant taste full of personality. The finish is of medium persistence, very harmonious and inviting.

It is recommended to serve it between 14 and 16 ºC to fully appreciate its aromatic expression and character. At the table, it pairs well with white meats, sausages, and fresh salads.
