Description | A Vilerma - White Wine
Vilerma - White Wine is the Pariente family's debut in the Ribeiro region, through the integration of this Galician vineyard into the family project of Bodegas José Pariente. Originating from the Vilerma estate, located in the Avia valley, in the municipality of Leiro (Ourense), it is made from a blend of six native grape varieties: Albariño, Godello, Lado, Torrontés, Loureiro and Trajadura. It is a white wine that seeks to respect the identity of the place, asserting a fruity, complex and elegant profile, with remarkable balance and a very characteristic salinity.
In the glass, it presents a pale yellow color with greenish reflections. Of Atlantic influence, it reveals great aromatic intensity, with notes of plants such as fennel and bay leaf, hints of apple, stone fruit and citrus, as well as suggestions of damp stone and a light floral touch. On the palate, it is complex and elegant, with expressive fruit — apple, melon and stone fruit — combined with a herbaceous note. The balanced acidity sustains a harmonious whole, culminating in a persistent and saline finish.
Fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks and in used 500-liter barrels, with a slight aging on lees. It is recommended to serve at 10ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany seafood, fish, white meats, rice dishes, and fresh cheeses.
