Description | Veguin de Murua Grande Reserva - Red Wine
Veguin de Murua Grande Reserva - Red Wine is a limited edition wine, produced by Murua only in exceptional years. Originating from Rioja Alta, it is a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, selected from very old vineyards, some almost a century old, located at the foot of the Sierra de Toloño. It is a wine of great ambition and identity, designed to reveal depth, elegance, and aging potential.
It has an intense and bright cherry color. On the nose, it shows great aromatic intensity, with notes of dried herbs, sun-dried tomato, mint, spices, and very pleasant balsamic hints. On the palate, it stands out for its power, length, volume, and balance, with a complex profile where fruity aromas, cinnamon, clove, peach, toasted almond, mint, and spicy notes emerge. The finish is elegant and persistent, with a very harmonious aftertaste.
Fermentation and maceration last for 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation on lees in French oak vats. Aging takes place for 25 months in new French and American oak barrels, completing its evolution in the bottle in the cellar's underground cellars. It is recommended to serve between 17 and 18 ºC, decant and allow it to oxygenate in the glass to fully appreciate its aromatic potential.
