Description | Marqués de Griñón Caliza - Red Wine
Marqués de Griñón Caliza - Red Wine is a red wine produced by Marqués de Griñón in the Dominio de Valdepusa region, from the Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Graciano grape varieties. Its name refers to the subsoil of pure limestone, a type of soil valued for its structure, drainage, and porosity, characteristics that contribute to the expression and minerality of the wine.
In the glass, it presents a deep violet color with brilliant cherry reflections. The aroma reveals a fruity and complex profile, with notes of wild blackberries and ripe cherries, enveloped by mineral hints and a delicate touch of mint. On the palate, it is ample, silky and structured, with an intense personality, a fleshy texture and a long, persistent finish.
Made with 10 months of aging in new and semi-new French Allier oak barrels, it combines tempting fruit with elegance and balance. It is a versatile wine at the table, recommended to accompany Mediterranean dishes, pasta, risottos and game or poultry. The suggested serving temperature is 16ºC.
