Maçanita Os Caniveis - White Wine

Maçanita Os Caniveis - White Wine is a Port and Douro wine that originates from a small plot of land approximately 60 years old, located in Carlão, at an altitude of 600 meters, in granitic soils. This vineyard stands out for its rare composition of 17 grape varieties, an unusual detail that helps explain the wine's very unique personality and its strong connection to the territory.

The harvest is done manually and the bunches are pressed whole. Fermentation and aging take place mostly in stainless steel tanks, with some aging in new French oak barrels, where it remains with bâtonnage for 9 months. This careful work contributes to a more complex, precise and textured profile, without losing freshness.

In the glass, it presents a citrine yellow color and a delicate aroma with citrus expression. On the palate, it reveals a dense and balanced attack, supported by a round and well-integrated acidity. It shows richness in the mid-palate, finishing with freshness, persistence, and elegance. A white wine with depth and identity, which highlights a less obvious and very interesting side of the Douro.
