Fillaboa Selección Finca Monte Alto - White Wine

Fillaboa Selección Finca Monte Alto - White Wine is a single-vineyard white wine from the Rías Baixas region, produced by Fillaboa exclusively from the Albariño grape variety. The grapes come from Monte Alto, the highest and sunniest plot on the estate, planted in 1988 in a meander of the Minho River. This inland terroir gives the wine a distinct profile, combining freshness, aromatic intensity, and complexity. Vinification is traditional, with alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures, using indigenous yeasts, and aging for 12 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks. Produced in limited editions, it also has aging potential for up to 5 years.

In the glass, it displays a clean and bright straw-yellow color with greenish hues. The aroma reveals high intensity, with notes of ripe fruit, apple, and citrus, enveloped by hints of bakery, brioche, and slight toasted notes. On the palate, the attack is smooth, but quickly asserts itself through structure, freshness, and good acidity. The ripe fruit returns in the retronasal passage, lingering in a persistent and balanced finish. It should be served between 8 and 10 ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany seafood, mollusks, baked fish, pasta dishes, and stir-fried vegetables.
