Duas Quintas - Red Wine

Duas Quintas - Red Wine, from Ramos Pinto, is a Port and Douro wine that expresses the character of the region with balance, structure, and depth. Made with great care, it results from grapes harvested manually, then crushed, destemmed, and fermented in granite lagares and stainless steel vats. The prolonged maceration contributes to its good concentration, body, and definition, resulting in a solid and harmonious profile.

After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months: 20% in French oak barrels, 30% in vats, and the remainder in stainless steel tanks. This process imparts complexity and preserves the purity of the fruit. It presents an intense dark cherry color with ruby reflections. On the nose, it reveals ripe and vinous notes, highlighting plum, wild berries, and balsamic hints. On the palate, it is concentrated, with a compact structure, silky tannins, and notes of blackberries and licorice.

Versatile at the table, it can be enjoyed as an appetizer or to accompany grilled vegetables and meats, duck rice, vegetarian curry, grilled cod, and cheeses such as São Jorge or cured goat cheese.
