Description | Drappier Grande Sendree - Sparkling Wine
Drappier Grande Sendree - Sparkling Wine is a prestigious champagne from the Champagne region, created by the Drappier house. The name of this cuvée originates from a plot of land covered in ashes after the fire that ravaged Urville in 1836, with the letter "S" resulting from a spelling error in a cadastral document. Produced only in exceptional vintages, this wine expresses the rigor and high standards of a centuries-old house, further benefiting from 9 years of bottle aging.
This blend combines Pinot Noir (55%) and Chardonnay (45%), in a balanced combination of character, persistence, elegance, and delicacy. It presents a golden-yellow color with amber reflections. On the nose, notes of dried fruit stand out, with a subtle touch of white fruit, toasted hints, and citrus nuances. On the palate, it reveals itself to be very structured, vinous, deep, and crisp, with a marked presence and great intensity.
It should be served between 6 and 8 ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany seafood, oily fish such as salmon or tuna, and soft cheeses. A sparkling wine of great personality, designed for special occasions and for connoisseurs of champagnes with depth and expression.
