Contino Reserva - Red Wine

Contino Reserva - Red Wine is a reserve red wine from Contino, produced exclusively from the estate's vineyards located in Laserna, Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Made primarily with Tempranillo (86%), complemented by Graciano and Mazuelo (6%) and Garnacha (2%), it elegantly expresses the character of this benchmark Rioja region.

In the glass, it presents a clean, bright, medium-intensity ruby-red color. The aromatic profile reveals good intensity, with notes of red berries, ripe fruit, hints of vanilla, and sweet and fresh nuances, accompanied by hints of spices and wood resulting from aging.

On the palate, it is ample, flavorful, round, and balanced, with a long and persistent finish. The 24 months of aging in barrels, followed by another 2 years in the bottle, contributes to its refinement and complexity, reinforcing the structure without losing harmony. It should be served between 16 and 18 ºC and pairs particularly well with red meats, roast lamb, game, and aged cheeses.
