Contino Don Vicente Mazuelo - Red Wine

Contino Don Vicente Mazuelo - Red Wine is a special wine in the Contino range, produced in Rioja Alavesa from the Mazuelo grape variety. It originates from the best bunches from the Don Vicente plot, on the San Rafael estate, reflecting the unique character of this variety.

It has a medium-high intensity color, which makes it immediately appealing in the glass. On the nose, it stands out for its personality, complexity and depth, enveloped by soft notes of the wood chosen for aging. The elegance of the grape variety is combined with a refined profile, where the wood accompanies without overpowering.

Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 80% new and the rest second-use. On the palate, it reveals great finesse, an enveloping entry and a silky finish. The volume fills the palate, while the pleasant acidity contributes to the overall balance. The tannins leave a silky and elegant sensation, harmoniously prolonging the tasting experience.

It is recommended to serve it at 16ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany roast lamb, grilled red meats and other roasts.
