Description | Chão dos Eremitas Os Paulistas - Red Wine
Chão dos Eremitas Os Paulistas - Red Wine is a wine from Fita Preta, produced in the Alentejo region from the Tinta Carvalha, Castelão, Alfrocheiro, Moreto and Trincadeira grape varieties. It originates from old vines planted in 1970, with native grape varieties cultivated without irrigation, in a terroir of granitic soils at the foot of the Serra d'Ossa mountain range. The name pays homage to the hermits of the Order of Saint Paul, whose presence in this area dates back to the 14th century, linking the wine to a very unique historical and cultural heritage.
On the palate, it presents a ruby color with violet hues and medium concentration. The aromatic profile highlights red forest fruits and notes of wild undergrowth, composing an expressive and elegant whole. On the palate, it shows freshness on the attack, good structure and a balanced register, with notes of pomegranate and a long, fine finish. It is a gastronomic red wine, designed for the table, which combines regional identity, the authenticity of traditional grape varieties and a refined expression of the Alentejo region.
Due to its structure and freshness, it pairs particularly well with fatty meat dishes, traditional Alentejo stews, and other intensely flavored recipes. A wine that combines depth, elegance, and a sense of place, reflecting the region's wine heritage and the distinctive style of Fita Preta.
